Details

Whilst working at Drivers Jonas Deloitte I was the lead engagement partner and project manager responsible for the delivery of a new 170 room accommodation block providing en-suite study bedrooms at one of the National Policing Improvement Agency’s (NPIA) police training centres.

The new accommodation block was designed to achieve a BREEAM excellent rating using an open loop ground source heat pump, solar water heaters, passive ventilation, sustainable urban drainage systems and high levels of insulation. In addition the rooms have been constructed using pre-fabricated room modules to accelerate construction, reduce waste and minimise disruption to site operations.

The new building was located to minimise the disturbance to the existing trees and open up the space around the buildings for future development as part of the wider masterplanning of the site for redevelopment to meet the Police’s changing needs.

Drivers Jonas Deloitte appointed their own supply chain to provide architectural, engineering and quantity surveying services.
