Led by our Julian Record, a Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Project Manager with over 25 years experience within the property and construction industry, we are proud of our strong reputation for our fair, thorough and reliable approach to determining our opinion of liability in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and RICS Practice Statement, “Surveyors acting as expert witnesses”.
Julian has completed the RICS accredited Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence and has prepared numerous CPR compliant RICS Expert Witness reports either for one party to the dispute or, as is becoming increasingly common (due to the costs involved with legal proceedings), for both parties as a Single Joint Expert.

Julian is a member of The Academy of Experts. Members have been rigorously accredited by The Academy on the grounds of qualification in their profession; Understanding the role and duties of the expert witness and their ability to put this into practice.
Where a dispute arises, it is best to be resolved quickly and at a cost which is proportionate to the dispute itself and the sums involved.
Record Associates can provide a service where we will assess the relevant details and if required, prepare a preliminary report either directly with our client or their instructing solicitor. Our preliminary report will enable our client to decide the best strategy and, if necessary, avoid embarking on expensive and lengthy court action.

Record Associates were appointed by Via Property Development Ltd to provide Architectural Design and Construction Project Management services in connection with the conversion of this former Methodist Chapel into 12 apartments extending to approximately 780 sq.m.
