Record Associates have been re-appointed by Wye Valley Brewery to provide Construction Project Management support for the development of a 900sq.m warehouse which will bring together the brewery’s cask racking, storage and distribution facilities under one roof.
“The project has been really challenging because of the sloping nature of the site and need to optimise the site levels around the building to best effect whilst maintaining a live operational site. A great deal of effort has been placed on the phasing strategy and the vehicle movements around the works area so that the works may be undertaken with the minimum of disruption to the brewery’s operations and in the most cost effective manner” says Julian Record who is leading the construction project management team.
Competitive tenders have been received for the works, a preferred contractor selected and the brewery are in the process of securing Marches Business Investment Grant (MBIG) funding for the project with a view to commencing the works at the end of March 2018.
The programme for completion is summer 2018. The budget remains confidential.
